Pastoral Care

Pastoral care is an important part of life in any Methodist church. Put simply it means that everyone in our church has someone to call on if they need to and we all have a role in caring for each other.

Our pastoral care is organised through our Encounter Groups. Everyone in the church, whether they go to a group or not is attached to a group and has someone to care for them. In this way we aim to take seriously Jesus' commands to love others and respond to the needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ.

If you have particular issues you would like to share with someone in confidence then our minister is contactable on the details on this website. Alternatively you can 'Text-a-Prayer' to 07847 461059 and people will pray for you.

We are a Dementia Friendly church

A dementia - friendly church is one that shows a high level of awareness and understanding so that people with dementia and their carers are encouraged to seek help and support from the church family. We are currently training 'Dementia Friends' - people who are trained to be aware of what it is like to live with dementia and translate that awareness into action. The Church has a number of Dementia Champions who have been trained to run these sessions.
